Mauricio Barembuem, known professionally as Barem, is an electronic music producer and DJ from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began producing electronic music after playing blues and rock guitar in bands as a teenager, with his first release being the Kleine EP on netlabel Unfoundsound in July 2005. His debut vinyl EP "Campo Madness" appeared on Foundsound in May 2006, followed by releases on Richie Hawtin's M_nus label, including the track "Opal" which featured on the Min2Max compilation.
Barem's sound spans techno, minimal/deep tech, tech house, and house, with releases appearing on labels including Hot Creations, moan, Fun Records, Heavy House Society, and Little Helpers. His productions lean toward peak time driving techno and minimal deep tech territories, crafted for dancefloor impact. Since his first Electrobuzz-tracked release in March 2010, he has maintained consistent output across these respected underground labels, with his most recent release scheduled for June 2025, demonstrating over a decade of sustained activity in the electronic music scene.
