Basement Jaxx is a British electronic duo from Brixton, London, formed in 1994 by Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe. The pair operates under several aliases including Summer Daze, Future Earth, and Banana Kru, and runs their own Atlantic Jaxx Recordings imprint alongside Atlantic Jaxx. They began releasing music on Electrobuzz's tracked catalog in June 2014, accumulating 26 releases through November 2025.
Their sound spans house and tech house territories with forays into peak time techno, delivering music across labels including XL Recordings, Toolroom, and Rekids in addition to their own Atlantic Jaxx outlets.
