Bjorn Torske

Bjørn Torske is a Norwegian producer and DJ from Tromsdalen who relocated to Bergen and has been active since the early 1990s. Born in 1971, he initially appeared on the "T.O.S. EP" compilation under the alias Alegria and collaborated with Ole Johan Mjøs as Radikal Buzz before forming Ismistik together. Torske and Mjøs released three EPs on Djax and worked with Rune Lindbæk in projects Open Skies and Volcano. After moving to Bergen, Torske continued Ismistik as a solo project and released the album "Remain" in 1995. He has also produced under aliases including Krisp and Kitsimsi.

Torske's sound spans nu disco, deep house, electronica, and indie dance, with releases on Smalltown Supersound and Hell Yeah Recordings between 2012 and 2019. His productions blend downtempo electronica with house rhythms, creating tracks that work equally well for home listening and dancefloor moments. The Norwegian producer's approach combines classic house sensibilities with nu disco grooves, maintaining a consistent aesthetic across his seven releases in the Electrobuzz catalog. His music demonstrates the melodic, groove-focused style characteristic of Scandinavian electronic music, with tempos that range from mid-tempo downtempo to dance-ready house beats.
