Black 8

Black 8 is the production alias of Abdl El Rahman, an Egyptian DJ and producer born on April 9, 1986, and raised in Cairo. He began releasing music in 2015 with his debut appearing on June 22 of that year, establishing himself within the progressive house scene over the following decade.

Black 8's sound spans progressive house, tech house, and melodic house & techno, with occasional ventures into deep house and peak-time driving techno. He has released music on established labels including Sudbeat Music, Hope Recordings, NĀTIV, and The Soundgarden. His productions typically favor the deeper, more melodic end of the house spectrum while maintaining the driving energy characteristic of tech house. With six releases documented through 2025, Black 8 represents the contemporary Egyptian electronic music scene's connection to international progressive house networks.
