Blake Baxter

Blake Baxter operates from Detroit, where he established himself as one of the founders of Detroit house and techno. He founded Mix Records and ran a record shop called Save The Vinyl in downtown Detroit, while organizing parties and small raves at a version of Berlin's Tresor club. Baxter performs under several aliases including Renee, Pump Da Bass, and The Prince Of Techno, with his first tracked release appearing in 2009.

Baxter produces techno spanning peak time driving patterns and raw deep hypnotic grooves, alongside house, tech house, and electronica across his 15 releases. His music appears on Tresor Records, Systematic Recordings, KMS Records, and Above Board Projects, with his output continuing through 2026. His Detroit techno foundation translates into driving peak time energy and deeper hypnotic territories, positioning his tracks for both main room deployment and underground floor programming.
