Blame the Mono is a French techno duo formed in early 2019 by an English and a French producer. The group initially operated from Berlin until August 2020, when they relocated to Paris. Since their first release in September 2020, they have issued 13 releases across multiple labels including Taapion, POSSESSION, Involve Records, Selected (Berlin), and CEP Records.
Blame the Mono produces peak time and driving techno alongside raw, deep, and hypnotic variants, with occasional hard techno releases. Their output spans from dancefloor-focused techno tracks to full album projects, with some crossover into main floor trance territory. The duo's releases on labels like POSSESSION and Selected (Berlin) position them within the contemporary European techno circuit, delivering high-energy productions suited for peak-time DJ sets.
