Blush Response

Blush Response is the solo electronic music project of Joey Gonzalez, who performs under the alias Joey Blush. Originally from Miami and formerly based in New York City, Gonzalez now operates from Berlin. The project launched in 2016 with releases appearing on aufnahme + wiedergabe and Persephonic Sirens labels.

Blush Response produces EBM-influenced techno that spans peak time driving rhythms and classic electro territories, with occasional forays into indie dance and electronica. The sound maintains the intensity of traditional EBM while incorporating modern techno production techniques. Releases on aufnahme + wiedergabe and Persephonic Sirens demonstrate a commitment to dancefloor-focused material that bridges the gap between vintage electronic body music aesthetics and contemporary club environments. The project has maintained consistent output since 2016, with releases scheduled through 2025.
