Body Language

Body Language is a four-piece group from Brooklyn that formed in 2008, originally founded in Hartford. The band consists of Grant Wheeler, Matt Young, Ian Chang, and Angelica Bess. They began releasing electronic music in 2011 with their first appearance on Electrobuzz, transitioning from their experimental pop origins into dance music territory.

Their sound centers on deep house and indie dance, with nu disco and house influences that operate at mid-tempo ranges suitable for both club environments and home listening. Body Language releases exclusively on Om Records, where they have maintained a consistent presence since 2011. Their tracks blend organic instrumentation with electronic production, creating warm, groove-driven compositions that sit comfortably in the 110-125 BPM range. The group's output peaked between 2011 and 2016, with their most recent release appearing in late 2016.
