Boo Williams

Boo Williams is the production alias of Willie Griffin, a Chicago-born artist who has been part of the city's house music scene since 1981. Griffin began DJing at age 14 and transitioned into production in the 1990s with guidance from Glenn Underground, starting his remix work in 1993. He also releases music under the aliases Mandrake and Moon Man, with his first documented release on Electrobuzz appearing in May 2012.

Williams produces deep house and house music with occasional forays into tech house, nu disco, and driving techno. His releases appear on respected labels including Rush Hour, Rawax, Goldmin Music, Chiwax, and Housewax, showcasing the warm, groove-focused sound characteristic of Chicago house tradition. His tracks typically maintain the soulful, mid-tempo energy that defines classic deep house, with 22 releases documented since 2012 demonstrating consistent output across multiple imprints in the underground house scene.
