Booka Shade is a German duo consisting of Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier, based in Berlin. The group originated in Frankfurt with initial focus on synth-pop before transitioning to electronic music. They have operated under several aliases including Troop, Mos Eisley, and Keim. The duo runs their own label Blaufield Music, which also operates the Blaufield M10 imprint.
Their sound spans tech house, house, and deep house territories, with releases appearing on respected labels including Get Physical Music, Knee Deep In Sound, and Suara alongside their own Blaufield Music. Booka Shade's production output has been prolific since 2010, with 154 documented releases through 2018.
