Broken English Club

Broken English Club is the project of British artist Oliver Ho, who began releasing under this moniker in September 2014. Ho also produces music under the aliases Birdland and Id, operating primarily from the UK electronic music scene. The project has maintained consistent output with 19 releases spanning over a decade across multiple respected underground labels.

Broken English Club delivers raw, hypnotic techno that ranges from peak-time driving tracks to deeper, more meditative compositions. Ho releases primarily through Cititrax, Death & Leisure, L.I.E.S. Records, and Dekmantel, with his sound characterized by industrial-tinged techno that incorporates ambient textures and electronic experimentation. The project's output spans from club-focused peak-time techno to more exploratory ambient works, with releases consistently showcasing the harder, more abrasive side of contemporary underground techno. His music maintains the aesthetic of raw, unpolished electronic music that has become synonymous with labels like L.I.E.S., combining driving rhythms with atmospheric depth.
