Butane
🇺🇸About
Andrew Rasse operates under the moniker Butane, a DJ and producer from the Midwestern United States who began releasing music in 2010. He owns and operates three labels: alphahouse, Little Helpers, and Extrasketch, establishing himself as both an artist and label curator within the underground electronic scene.
Butane's sound spans tech house, minimal deep tech, and peak-time techno, with occasional forays into deep house territory. His releases appear on respected imprints including SCI+TEC, Deeperfect Records, and Tenampa Recordings, alongside his own label ventures. With 99 releases catalogued between 2010 and 2020, his productions typically deliver driving, club-focused energy suitable for peak-time DJ sets, characterized by the stripped-down efficiency of minimal techno and the groove-centric approach of tech house.
