Caldera is the production alias of British DJ and producer Malte Schumann, who began releasing electronic music in 2015. Based in the UK, he has maintained a steady output with seven releases spanning a decade of production work.

Caldera operates primarily within deep house and minimal deep tech territories, with recent expansions into Afro house and jackin house styles. His releases appear on respected labels including Ornate Music, murmurs, and Dial, with his most recent work featured on Curation Best Of 2025. The project's sound centers on groove-driven house music that balances deeper, more contemplative moments with the rhythmic pulse of contemporary Afro house influences, making his tracks suitable for both peak-time and warm-up sets.
