Carl Cox

Carl Andrew Cox was born on July 29th, 1962 in Oldham, Greater Manchester, England, though he originates from Barbados. The techno DJ and producer has been active since the early 1980s and hosted a Saturday night show on Kiss FM from 1996. Cox co-founded Intec Records with DJ C1 and has operated under aliases including Stone Circle, Conquer, and The Carl Cox Concept. Since 2007, he has lived in Melbourne, Australia.

Cox produces peak time driving techno, tech house, and house music, with 67 releases documented since 2010. His material appears on labels including Intec, Bush Records, Filth on Acid, and Awesome Soundwave, alongside BMG Rights Management. His techno productions typically operate in the 125-135 BPM range with driving energy suitable for peak-time club sets. Cox has also ventured into melodic house and techno territory in recent releases, maintaining consistent output through 2025.
