Carol Jiani

Carol Jiani, born Uchenna Ikejiani, is a Canadian-Nigerian artist who originally gained recognition as a disco and hi-NRG singer in the early 1980s with her hit "Hit N Run Lover." Based in Montreal until 1983, she then relocated to England. Jiani performed uncredited vocals on Suzy Q's "Get On Up And Do It Again" in the early 1980s. She has returned to releasing music in 2024, marking her entry into contemporary electronic music production.

Jiani now produces house and deep house music, releasing on labels including Groovebom Records, Trax Records, Quantize Recordings, and BIG Speaker Music. Her recent electronic releases began in November 2024, representing a significant genre shift from her disco origins into modern house production. The transition from hi-NRG vocalist to house producer demonstrates her adaptation to contemporary electronic music formats while maintaining her presence in dance music.
