Casa Mata

Casa Mata is the electronic music project of Mário Mata, born September 2, 1960, in Luanda, Angola. Mata relocated to Portugal in August 1974, settling in Portimão in the Algarve region where he continues to reside. His first public performance outside local bars occurred in December 1980 at Cinema Nimas in the program "Febre de Sábado de Manhã" with the track "Não Há Nada P'ra Ninguém." As Casa Mata, he began releasing electronic music in 2025 through Madorasindahouse Records.

Casa Mata produces across multiple electronic subgenres including Afro House, Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House & Techno, and Bass House. His releases appear exclusively on Madorasindahouse Records, spanning from June 2025 to October 2025 with five total releases. The project represents Mata's evolution from his earlier work into contemporary electronic dance music, incorporating Afro House rhythms with deeper progressive and melodic elements suitable for both underground club environments and festival settings.
