Casual Treatment

Casual Treatment is the project of French-born producer Melvyn Ortega, who operates from Berlin. He launched his recording career in 2016 and runs his own imprint Treatment Records. Over nearly a decade, he has built a catalog of 33 releases across multiple labels including MORD, [R]3volution, Hayes, and Illegal Alien LTD.

His sound spans raw, deep, and hypnotic techno through to peak-time driving material, with occasional forays into Afro house and electronica. The MORD releases position him within the harder spectrum of contemporary techno, while his work on Treatment Records and other imprints explores the deeper, more introspective side of the genre. His productions maintain the driving energy essential for peak-time DJ sets while incorporating the hypnotic elements that define Berlin's techno aesthetic.
