Cerrone

Marc Cerrone hails from Vitry-sur-Seine, France, where he was born in 1952. The French producer and drummer began his career at age 18 as musical director for Club Méditerranée vacation resorts, before forming and leading Kongas in 1972, which achieved several hits under a lucrative contract with French label Barclay. Cerrone launched his solo career in 1976 and performs under aliases including C. Orchestra and C. Jeremy.

Cerrone produces nu disco and indie dance music that draws from his disco and electro-disco roots. His recent output spans from 2021 to 2025, showcasing a contemporary take on classic disco elements with electronic production techniques. The French producer's sound incorporates vocal house influences alongside euro-disco foundations, delivering tracks that blend nostalgic disco grooves with modern dancefloor sensibilities suitable for both indie dance sets and nu disco programming.
