Chocolate Puma

Chocolate Puma is a Dutch electronic music duo from Haarlem consisting of Gaston Steenkist and René ter Horst. The group formed in 1991 and operates under several aliases including Tomba Vira, Klatsch!, and Jark Prongo. In 1992, the duo founded a label before departing in 1995 to establish Good Groove Records, where they began producing music under the Chocolate Puma moniker. Their first release on Electrobuzz appeared in April 2012, with their catalog spanning over a decade through December 2025.

The duo produces peak time driving techno, house, tech house, and afro house tracks that cater to club DJs seeking high-energy material. Chocolate Puma releases music primarily through Armada Music and its subsidiary labels including Armada Music Albums and Armada Electronic Elements, alongside releases on Spinnin Records and HILOMATIK. Their sound maintains consistent energy levels suitable for peak hours, with their house productions incorporating both traditional four-on-the-floor patterns and afro-influenced percussion elements. The duo has maintained active production throughout the 2010s and 2020s, with 20 releases documented on Electrobuzz spanning their various electronic genres.
