Cloverdale

Cloverdale is the project of Alex Walsh, a DJ and producer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Walsh began releasing music under the Cloverdale moniker in March 2022 and has maintained a steady output with five releases to date. The project operates as a group according to music database records, though Walsh appears to be the primary creative force behind the releases.

Cloverdale's sound centers on peak time driving techno with excursions into tech house and house music. The project has released exclusively on two labels: Night Service Only (NSO) and SOLOTOKO, both of which specialize in club-focused electronic music. Walsh's productions lean toward high-energy dancefloor material designed for peak hours, with the techno releases featuring driving rhythms and industrial textures typical of contemporary underground club music. The tech house and house tracks maintain the same energy level while incorporating more groove-oriented elements suitable for extended DJ sets.
