Coppice Halifax

Coppice Halifax is the ambient techno project of Brian Grainger, an American producer from Myrtle Beach who began releasing music in 2014. Grainger operates under several aliases including Parallax, Milieu, and Pink Space, and runs his own Milieu Music label alongside the self-titled Coppice Halifax imprint. He has maintained an active release schedule with 18 releases between 2014 and 2021 across multiple labels.

The Coppice Halifax sound centers on textural ambient techno that bridges meditative dub techno with more driving peak-time elements. Grainger releases on labels including his own Milieu Music and Coppice Halifax imprints, plus Recycled Plastics and ROHS Records. His productions emphasize melodic content and atmospheric textures, creating ambient techno tracks that work both for home listening and club environments. The project's releases are typically pressed in extremely limited quantities and feature distinctive packaging design.
