Creative Swing Alliance

Creative Swing Alliance is a French duo from Strasbourg consisting of producers Pablo Valentino and Steven Joyce Ames. Pablo Valentino runs the Faces Records label and its subdivision Motor City Drum Ensemble, while Steven-J has released records on Compost Records, Soultronik and Jazzmin, and previously played double bass for Japanese band Sleepwalker. The pair have been DJing and throwing parties together in Strasbourg for over ten years before forming Creative Swing Alliance.

The duo produces deep house music and releases exclusively on the Quintessentials label. Their catalog spans from December 2011 to January 2016, with five releases total during this active period. Creative Swing Alliance delivers the warm, groove-oriented sound typical of deep house, drawing from both producers' extensive backgrounds in electronic music production and Steven-J's jazz instrumentation experience.
