Cristi Cons

Cristi Cons is Romanian DJ and producer Cristian-Ioan Munteanu, who studied cello at the National Music Academy in Bucharest before transitioning to electronic music production. He began releasing music in 2012 and co-owns Amphia with fellow Romanian artist Vlad Caia. Cons also produces under the alias Case Sensitive and has built a catalog of 19 releases across his career spanning over a decade.

His sound encompasses minimal/deep tech, tech house, and deep house, with recent explorations into techno and Afro house territories. Cons releases on labels including his own Amphia imprint, serialism records, Fuse London, Meander, and Adam's Bite. His productions typically favor deeper, more cerebral approaches to dancefloor music, drawing from his classical music background to craft tracks that work equally well in intimate club settings and larger festival environments. The evolution from his early minimal work toward incorporating Afro house elements demonstrates his willingness to expand his sonic palette while maintaining the sophisticated production values that define his releases.
