Crookers

Crookers is an Italian electronic music project from Milano, formed in 2003 by Andrea Fratangelo (Bot) and Francesco Barbaglia (Phra). Originally operating as a duo, the project became a solo venture for Barbaglia in October 2012 when Fratangelo departed. The project has also operated under aliases including Phra & Bot and Dr Gonzo, establishing themselves in the electro house and fidget house scenes throughout the 2000s.

Crookers' sound has evolved significantly since their electro house origins, now encompassing deep house, tech house, and UK garage influences. Their releases appear on established labels including Defected, Pretty Weird, and Disorder, with their first documented release dating to April 2014 and continuing through 2025. The music ranges from the driving rhythms of tech house to the deeper, more atmospheric territories of deep house, while incorporating UK garage and bassline elements that add rhythmic complexity suited for both peak-time and after-hours DJ sets.
