Curses is the project of Luca Venezia, a New York-born producer and DJ now based in Berlin, Germany. Venezia began releasing music as Curses in 2013 and has maintained an active output with 31 releases across his career. He also operates under the aliases Drop The Lime and Venice Arms, showcasing different facets of his electronic music production.

Curses crafts a distinctive blend of indie dance and house music that incorporates darker disco elements with EBM, new wave, and post-punk influences. His releases appear on respected labels including Innervisions, Dischi Autunno, Iptamenos Discos, Off Recordings, and Throne of Blood. The project combines ghostly vocals and guitar work with synthesizer-driven arrangements, creating peak-time driving techno and melodic house tracks that translate well to dance floors.
