Dajae, born Karen D. Gordon, is a Chicago-based vocalist who began her musical career in the early 1980s performing R&B and singing in soul bands throughout the city. She formed a partnership with Curtis Jones (Cajmere/Green Velvet) in the early 1990s, becoming a central figure at Cajual Records where she recorded numerous club anthems. Her electronic music releases span from 2011 to present day, with 20 tracks distributed across multiple labels.

Her sound encompasses tech house, funky house, and jackin house, with releases appearing on Relief, Cajual Records, and Big Beat Records. Dajae's tracks blend her soul and R&B vocal background with house music's four-four rhythms, creating dancefloor-focused material that maintains the raw energy of Chicago's underground scene.
