Dan Piu

Dan Piu is the alias of Georgios Boutopoulos, an electronic music producer based in Zurich, Switzerland. He began producing music in 1992 and founded his own labels No Acting Vibes and Moto Music that same year. Boutopoulos also releases music under the aliases Allstarr Motomusic, George Btp, and Soft Pioneer. His productions are known for utilizing analogue synthesizers and pedal effects to create distinctive analogue sounds.

Dan Piu's sound spans deep house, peak time techno, and raw hypnotic techno, with releases also touching on classic electro and Detroit-influenced electronic music. His catalog appears on labels including Terrestrial Funk and Grant, with releases dating from 2020 to 2024. The productions lean heavily on analogue equipment, delivering both driving peak-time energy and deeper, more hypnotic textures depending on the release. His techno work ranges from raw underground cuts to more driving dancefloor-focused material, while his house productions explore deeper, more groove-oriented territory.
