Daniel Portman

Daniel Portman is the stage name of André Freund, a Swiss electronic music producer from Zurich who began his career in the late 1990s experimenting with an Akai2000 sampler and sequencer. He released his first EP "Backside / Evolution" on Unreleased Digital in the mid-2000s, followed by "I Never Sleep." Portman has maintained a consistent release schedule since 2012, with 16 releases documented through 2025, and also produces music under the aliases Andre Freund and Good Intention.

Portman's sound spans melodic house and techno, progressive house, tech house, and minimal deep tech, with his releases appearing primarily on Enormous Tunes. His productions blend the driving elements of techno with melodic progressions typical of the progressive house scene, creating tracks suitable for both peak-time club sets and deeper listening sessions.
