Daphni

Daphni is the electronic music project of Canadian producer Daniel Victor Snaith, who also records under the aliases Manitoba and Caribou. Born in 1978, Snaith launched the Daphni moniker in 2012 with his first release appearing on August 29, 2012. The project operates primarily through his own Jiaolong label, with additional releases appearing on Ninja Tune.

Daphni's sound spans house, deep house, melodic house & techno, indie dance, and peak time driving techno. The project has released 24 tracks since 2012, focusing on dancefloor-oriented material that contrasts with Snaith's more experimental work under his other aliases. Releases on Jiaolong and Ninja Tune showcase tempos ranging from deep house grooves to driving techno, with the music maintaining a club-ready energy throughout. The project continues to be active, with releases scheduled through March 2026.
