Dave Black is a drummer/electronic musician/composer/improviser who has performed with artists from Marc Ribot to Bucks Fizz to Spring Heel Jack.
He has written music and designed the sound for Newcastle based dance company MOTHER and also for Norwegian Choreographer Ingri Midgard Fiksdal's Dance/Theatre productions 'The Happy Place' and 'PRAVDA'.
Dave Black is a founder member of Distortion Trio, The Electric Dr.M and Chikon.

2) DAVE BLACK has worked with a lengthy list of artists representing a broad spectrum of musical genres including jazz, blues, rock, country, bluegrass, and folk. He is a cofounder of St. Louis' jazz quartet "Brilliant Corners," and a few of the notables with whom he has worked include Richard "Groove" Holmes, Bucky Pizzarelli, Dave Liebman, Fareed Haque, The Drifters, and Little Anthony and the Imperials. Dave has also earned recognition as a solo guitarist; he received first place awards in the 1996 and the 1997 St. Louis Area Music Awards in the acoustic guitar category.
Over the years, Dave Black has kept himself extremely busy performing in a wide range of musical genres spanning from Jazz to Blues to Rock to even Country & Folk. On ALONE & TOGETHER, his debut CD, Dave demonstrates his strength as a solo guitarist. He is joined in duets by saxophonist Paul DeMarinis, vocalist Beth Tuttle, and harmonica player Sandy Weltman. The new Wildstone Audio CD, DESTINATIONS, features a selection of Dave's latest compositions, ranging in style from jazz to funk to world beat.
