Deadboy

Deadboy is the alias of Allen Wootton, a London-based producer who began releasing music in 2014. Wootton also records under the aliases Deadboy Racer and Immrama, with his first documented release appearing on April 30, 2014. He has maintained an active release schedule through 2018, with five releases documented across various underground labels.

His sound spans leftfield house and techno, deep house, and electronica, with roots in dubstep and post-dubstep. Deadboy releases on Unknown to the Unknown, Boysnoize Records, and Local Action, three labels known for supporting experimental electronic music. His productions blend the rhythmic foundation of house music with the spatial dynamics of post-dubstep, creating tracks that work equally well in intimate club settings and headphone listening sessions. The music maintains the energy levels suitable for dancefloors while incorporating the textural complexity associated with UK bass music's evolution beyond its dubstep origins.
