About
Deep Aztec is the project of Azakiwe Jezile, a producer, multi-instrumentalist and singer who began releasing music in 2021. Jezile operates as both an artist and label head, establishing himself across multiple facets of electronic music production and curation.
Deep Aztec's sound spans Afro House, Deep House, and Melodic House & Techno, with releases appearing on established labels including Get Physical Music, MoBlack Records, Connected Frontline, Human By Default, and Kindisch. The project delivers eight releases between 2021 and 2024, combining percussive African rhythms with deep house grooves and melodic techno elements. Jezile's productions incorporate live instrumentation and vocals, creating tracks that function both as dancefloor tools and listening experiences across tempos ranging from deep house's 120-125 BPM to the driving energy of melodic techno.
