Deepbass

Deepbass is the production alias of Darren Roberts, a producer from Glasgow who currently operates from Barcelona. Roberts launched the Deepbass project in 2014 with his debut release on July 8th of that year, and has since built a catalog of 35 releases across multiple labels in the techno underground.

Roberts produces peak time driving techno and raw deep hypnotic variants, alongside explorations into dub techno and ambient territories. His releases appear on established labels including Informa Records, A_Files, Dynamic Reflection, The Gods Planet, and Planet Rhythm. The Deepbass sound centers on driving techno rhythms suitable for peak-time sets, while his deeper cuts explore hypnotic and dub-influenced textures that work across different parts of a DJ set. Roberts maintains consistent output, with releases scheduled through 2026, indicating ongoing development of his techno-focused catalog.
