Deepfunk

Deepfunk is the project of Malcolm Abdilla, an electronic music producer from Malta who began releasing music in 2010. His debut release appeared on Balkan Connection South in May 2010, marking the start of a five-year recording period that produced six releases through 2015.

Deepfunk operates within the progressive and deep house spectrum, crafting tracks that span progressive house, deep house, tech house, and broader electronic territories. His releases exclusively appear on Balkan Connection South, a label known for its progressive and deep house catalog. The project's sound centers on the deeper, more atmospheric side of house music, with tracks that maintain the groove-oriented foundation of house while incorporating the extended arrangements and emotional depth characteristic of progressive house.
