Definition

Definition is the Swiss electronic music project of Dimitri Schnider, based in Zurich. The artist began releasing music in September 2014 and operates the Definition:Music label alongside his production work. Definition has maintained consistent output over the past decade, with 29 releases tracked through 2025.

Definition produces tech house and deep house tracks with melodic elements, operating primarily in the 120-128 BPM range typical of contemporary house music. The project releases music across multiple labels including his own Definition:Music imprint, plus Hive Audio, Definitive Recordings, Einmusika Recordings, and EIN2. His sound spans from driving tech house rhythms to deeper, more atmospheric house productions, with recent releases showing expansion into melodic house and techno territories that maintain dancefloor functionality while incorporating progressive arrangements.
