Dele Sosimi

Bamidele Olatunbosun Sosimi is a London-based musician and producer from Hackney who began his electronic music career in 2015. Born in 1963, Sosimi spent seven years as keyboardist for Fela Kuti's Egypt 80 from 1979 to 1986, serving as musical director during Femi Kuti's temporary leadership in 1984. His transition to electronic music production began with his first release in November 2015, spanning a decade-long catalog of 19 releases through 2025.

Sosimi produces Afro House and Deep House tracks that blend his Afrobeat heritage with contemporary electronic production. His releases appear on MoBlack Records, Get Physical Music, Wah Wah 45s, Bombstrikes, and Madorasindahouse Records, with several tracks featured on The Beatport Shortlist. His sound incorporates traditional African rhythmic elements into house music frameworks, creating mid-tempo grooves that work for both listening and dancefloor contexts. The Nu Disco influences in his recent work add melodic sophistication to his percussion-heavy arrangements.
