Deo is a group from Oberhausen, Germany, formed in 1980 as a Neue Deutsche Welle synth-pop band. The group consists of Harald Hoffmann, Andreas Pasieka, Kurt Hein, and Christoph Aengenheyster, and has operated under the alias Sign System. They began releasing electronic music in 2010, with their first release appearing on June 29, 2010.
Deo produces deep house and tech house tracks, with occasional ventures into peak time driving techno. The group has released music on Jeudi Records, Hafendisko, and Rejekt Music between 2010 and 2016. Their sound spans the house and techno spectrum, offering both the deeper, more atmospheric elements of deep house and the driving rhythms characteristic of tech house and peak time techno formats suitable for club environments.
