Derek Marin

Derek Marin began producing electronic music as a drummer-turned-techno artist, working with beats since age nine. He operates under multiple aliases including Modest D, Platonik, Derek M, and Autopilot, with releases spanning from 2011 to 2017 across six documented releases. In 2004, he established his own imprint Faucet Music, while also releasing material on respected labels including Plastic City, Thoughtless Music, Little Helpers, Superfreq, and Nervous Records.

His sound encompasses techno ranging from peak time driving tracks to minimal deep tech territories, with additional explorations into tech house and deep house. On My Favourite Freaks Music, Marin delivers productions that span the energy spectrum from underground minimal grooves to peak-hour techno weapons. His extensive alias work demonstrates a versatility across electronic music's underground spectrum, with his Faucet Music imprint serving as a primary vehicle for his varied sonic output since the mid-2000s.
