Distant Sun

Distant Sun is the project of Peter Williams, a Welsh DJ and producer based in Berlin. Williams began releasing electronic music under the Distant Sun moniker in 2019, with his debut appearing on KarateKlub in September of that year. Since establishing the project, he has maintained a consistent output with five releases spanning from 2019 to 2025.

Williams produces techno across multiple subgenres, focusing primarily on peak time driving techno and raw deep hypnotic variations, with occasional electronica releases. His music appears on respected labels including KarateKlub, Credo, Truncate, and Van Czar Series. The sound typically operates in higher tempo ranges suitable for peak time sets, delivering the driving energy that characterizes modern Berlin techno while incorporating the deeper, more hypnotic elements that define underground club culture. His releases demonstrate a consistent evolution within the techno framework, moving between the raw intensity of deep hypnotic techno and the more accessible energy of peak time driving tracks.
