DJ Hyperactive

Chicago-born DJ and producer Joe Manumaleuna operates under the alias DJ Hyperactive, with additional releases appearing under the names Drumaddik and Gustav Schumann. He runs 4 Track Recordings, his own imprint, and began releasing music in March 2015. Manumaleuna has established himself within techno's underground circles, earning recognition from Daft Punk as one of their cited "Teachers."

DJ Hyperactive produces peak time and driving techno alongside raw, deep, and hypnotic variations of the genre, with additional output spanning drum & bass and house. His releases appear on labels including Truncate, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Missile, and Warm Up Recordings, in addition to his own 4 Track Recordings imprint. With 18 releases spanning over a decade, his sound maintains focus on dancefloor functionality across multiple electronic music genres, delivering the high-energy approach suggested by his moniker.
