DJ Steve operates from Sheffield, England under his real name Stephen Richard Hackett. He began releasing electronic music in November 2020, marking a departure from his earlier career as a guitarist with Genesis. The Sheffield-based producer has released seven tracks across the electronic music spectrum since entering the scene.

His sound spans house, peak time techno, and breakbeat territories, with releases appearing on respected labels Klasse Wrecks and Running Back.
