Djuma Soundsystem

Djuma Soundsystem is a Danish/Norwegian house group based in Copenhagen that launched their recording career in February 2011. The project originally featured Frantz Thomasen (DJ Disse), Lars Bjarno, and Mikkas Skulstad, but Thomasen departed after their early release "Les Djinns" to pursue solo work. Mikkas Skulstad now leads the group, which has maintained aliases including Ben Horn and Def Jaguar across their 32 releases spanning over a decade.

The group produces deep house, tech house, and Afro house with ventures into melodic house & techno and peak time driving techno. Djuma Soundsystem releases on established labels including Get Physical Music, Stil Vor Talent, IZIKI, SOSO, and A Tribe Called Kotori. Their sound ranges from deeper, melodic productions to driving tech house designed for peak time sets, with African influences threading through their Afro house material. The project continues releasing new material through 2025, demonstrating consistent output across multiple house and techno subgenres.
