Dop

Dop is a French electronic music project from Paris that began in 2005, originally formed as a trio comprising Clement Zemstov, Damien Vandesande, and Jonathan Illel before transitioning to a duo with Vandesande and Illel. The group operates under the alias Les Fils Du Calvaire and runs their own imprint DOP Only. Since their first release in December 2009, they have maintained a prolific output with 47 releases spanning from 2009 through 2026.

The duo produces deep house and tech house tracks that range from minimal deep tech to indie dance, creating music that works across different energy levels and tempos. Their releases appear on labels including Circus Company, Eleatics Records, Happy Camper Records, and Aprapta Music alongside their own DOP Only imprint. Dop's sound incorporates melodic techno elements within house frameworks, delivering tracks that function both on dancefloors and in listening contexts. Their approach to deep house emphasizes groove and atmosphere while maintaining the rhythmic drive essential for DJ sets.
