Doug Willis operates as a disco-sampling alias for Dave Lee, the UK house producer from the Isle of Wight who has been active since 1964. Lee developed the Doug Willis persona inspired by a character from the Australian soap opera Neighbours, using it as one of several aliases alongside Joey Negro, Jakatta, and Prospect Park. The project began releasing material in 2019 and has produced nine releases through 2025.

Doug Willis delivers house music that spans multiple tempos and moods, moving between deep house, funky house, nu disco, and afro house territories. The project releases primarily on Z Records and has appeared on Top Tracks of 2025 compilations.
