Dousk

Dousk is the production alias of Ioannis Douskos, a Greek producer born in Athens in 1979. He completed his classical music studies in 1999, covering classical piano, jazz and electronic music production. Douskos also produces under the aliases Giannis Douskos, Kamotek, and Jakiro, with his first release appearing in December 2009.

His sound spans progressive house, deep house, and tech house, with recent ventures into melodic house and techno. Dousk releases primarily through Proton Music, Movement Recordings, Balkan Connection, Tulipa Recordings, and Beat Boutique. His productions lean toward the deeper, more atmospheric side of progressive house, maintaining consistent output from 2009 to 2019 with 22 documented releases. The classical music background influences his approach to melody and arrangement, resulting in tracks that work equally well for peak-time sets and deeper listening sessions.
