Downpour

Downpour is the UK-based project of Christopher Adams, who also records under the alias Bracken. Adams launched the Downpour moniker in 2023 with his debut release on klaus:elle, marking his return to electronic music production after a 15-year hiatus. The project represents a revival of his earlier drum and bass work from the mid-1990s, with Adams describing it as "summoning up the ghosts of '94."

Downpour produces deep house and house music, releasing across multiple labels including klaus:elle, Voltaire Music, Island Moods, Variety Music, and Deepalma. With five releases between November 2023 and March 2026, the project focuses on atmospheric, groove-oriented house tracks that blend contemporary production techniques with nostalgic elements from Adams' drum and bass background. The music maintains the deeper, more contemplative side of house music, suitable for both club environments and home listening.
