Dr. Kucho! Artist Bio

DR KUCHO! (Disc Doctor / Madrid) is blowing up big time. He is listed on nbr 6 of the “DJMag’s Best Of 2003 Hype Chart” with “Belmondo Rulez”. The song was re-recorded with the vocals of Jodie, re-titled “Belmondo Rulez- It’s all about you” and re-mixed by Bob Sinclar. Bob Sinclar, obviously a big fan of Kucho’s work, also licensed the new Dr Kucho! single “Tanzania” for release on his label Africanism.
His tracks are played by the best DJ’s of the world like ROGER SANCHEZ, DEEP DISH, FATBOY SLIM, PAUL VAN DYK, DAVID MORALES, ERIC MORILLO, ONIONZ, JOESKI, HALO, HIPP-E, SMOKING JO… and many more.
As a deejay , Dr. Kucho! has played around the world playing in such places as: Moscow , New York , Washington DC, Paris, Marselle, Lyon, London, Ibiza, Slovenia, Tel Aviv, Amsterdam, Lithuania, Beijing, Shangay , Bogota, Medellin, Lima, Athens, Tesaloniki, Murmansk, Kiev, Ankara, Istanbul, Barcelona, Mallorca, Malta.
Dr. Kucho’s (aka Daniel Manzano Salazar) musical career started in 1992 when he signed his first record contract on Quality Madrid label. It wasn’t till one year later when his first record was edited, gradually, more and more of his records appeared on the market. Of all this first projects, “Techno city” was the most successful, that’s why a lot of European compilations included it.
But only when he left Quality Madrid (1996) his career as a producer took of by editing maxis on VIRGIN, ARCADE, BLANCO Y NEGRO, MAX MUSIC, and MD RECORDS…
In 1998 WEEKEND RECORDS was set up and Dr. Kucho started to work on it by making a remix on the first label’s reference. From then on, WEEKEND RECORDS and Dr. Kucho have been growing together quickly, achieving an important international recognition. Thanks to records like “Sex machine” (licensed and edited by SUBLIME U.K.) “Patricia never leaves the house” (licensed and edited by BUGGED OUT! U.K. and winner of Spanish DJ MAGAZINE awards for the best house track of the year),”La Luna” (licensed and edited by CITY ROCKERS U.K.), “Weekend E.P.”, “Belmondo rulez”, “The chase” (licensed and edited by FINGERLICKING U.K.)…
A lot of remixes are asked Dr.Kucho to be done for another labels like MULTIPLY, DEFECTED, SIRIUS, RHYTHM SYNDICATE, OFF RECORDINGS, AUDIO RECORDINGS… and also for A.T.F.C, DJ DERO, SSSH, RYTHMA, UNA MAS, MENDO… That’s why, step by step, he took position on house scene.
Dr. Kucho’s remix work is also asked frequently by big Spanish record companies (SONY, EPIC, BMG, WARNER, EMI, ARIOLA, SUBTERFUGE, VIRGIN) to remix their great artists (MIGUEL BOSE, MONICA NARANJO, LOS DEL RIO, GUARANA, NAJWAJEAN, JEWEL)
