Echologist

Echologist is the alias of Brendon Grant Moeller, a producer born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1968 who now operates from New York. Moeller began releasing music under the Echologist moniker in 2010 and maintains several other aliases including Beat Pharmacy and Mono Blanco. Over his 15-year career, he has accumulated 34 releases across multiple projects, establishing himself as a prolific figure in the underground electronic scene.

His sound spans peak time driving techno and raw hypnotic techno, with forays into tech house and deeper house territories. Echologist releases appear on respected labels including Planet Rhythm, Mord Records, Kynant Records, Knotweed Records, and made of CONCRETE. His techno productions typically operate in the driving, peak-time range while his deeper work explores hypnotic and raw textures. The project continues to evolve, with his most recent release scheduled for April 2025, demonstrating sustained activity across the harder spectrum of electronic music.
