Operating from the Lille region since the early 1990s, he founded multiple influential labels including Attack Records, Triangle, Electret, Ô Records, and FoKalm. He produces under several aliases including Sigrid, Meltaun Poem, and Bagdad, with his brother Jean-François Top also active in electronic music production.

Top specializes in raw, hypnotic techno and acid techno, delivering peak-time driving productions that anchor his reputation in the underground scene. His releases appear on labels including CLR, materia, and Filth on Acid, alongside his own FoKalm imprint.
