Extrawelt

Extrawelt is a German electronic duo from Hamburg consisting of Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe. The pair originally produced under the aliases Midimiliz and Spirallianz before adopting the Extrawelt moniker in 2005 with their "Soopertrack / Zu Fuss" 12" release on James Holden's Border Community label. Since their first documented release in 2009, they have maintained consistent output with 64 releases spanning over 15 years of production.

The duo operates across multiple electronic genres, from peak time techno and tech house to minimal deep tech and melodic house. Their releases appear on established labels including Cocoon Recordings, Traum, Kompakt Extra, Break New Soil Recordings, and Turbo Recordings. Extrawelt's sound encompasses both driving techno suitable for peak hours and deeper minimal productions, with their discography revealing an evolution from their early minimal techno roots toward more diverse electronic territories. Their consistent presence on respected techno and house labels positions them as versatile producers capable of delivering both dancefloor-focused material and more experimental electronic compositions.
